First Day Of PreK

Sorry I didn't get these posted last night. Mrs. Bailey might have been a little tired and feel asleep on the couch right after dinner. Oops

Gingerbread Hunt:
Our class read a story about a gingerbread man that was loose in the school. After the story we followed clues to find our very own gingerbread man. The kids explored Riojas' library, gym, cafeteria, office and playground. Turns out the gingerbread man was in the classroom so we all make a special puppet to remind us of our gingerbread friend.  

 

Math Time: 

The students worked with their table groups to build and pattern with their counters.

Carpet Time: 

Our carpet time lesson was all about learning how to sit like big kids. Don't you think we look just like Kindergarteners?! 

Happy Birthday Noah!

Noah brought sugar cookies for a special birthday snack! They went perfectly with our cookie jar song. Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar? 

Rest Time: 

Wow!!! Such a busy day. We all needed to rest our brains.

First Day Tears

Yay for a great first day!!!! Congrats to all the PreK families for doing such an awesome job with drop off this morning!!!! The kids transitioned well into morning work activities and I'm happy to report that none of the kids were upset. Hope all you mommies and daddies enjoyed your poem and didn't shed too many tears on the way home. 

Thanks again and more pics from our first day coming soon. It's dinner time here at the Bailey house.

 Picked up our iPads for the classroom today!!! The kids are going to have a blast using them!!!

Meet the Teacher

Who's ready for meet the teacher night?!

Please bring your child's school supplies and a photo ID for all individuals that will be dropping off or picking up your child on a daily basis. . . We will be making PreK security badges


School Supply List:
1 pair child scissors
1 bottle white glue
2 packages of Elmer's glue sticks (2 pack)
1 box tissues
2 boxes crayons (24 count)
2 boxes washable markers
2 packs of drawing paper
2 plastic folders with pockets and brads
1 wide-ruled spiral notebook
1 nap mat with cover (please label)
1 backpack (please label and ensure that a folder can fit inside)
